DIGABLE PLANETS

Digable Planets epitomized the laid-back charm of jazz hipsters better than any
group before or since. The trio's 1993 debut album, Reachin' (A New Refuation of Time and Space), was
a mellow ride packed with samples from Art Blakey, Sonny Rollins, and Curtis
Mayfield, and the single Rebirth of Slick (Cool Like Dat) became a Top 20
pop hit. The two-time, Grammy Nominated group earned a Grammy for Best New Duo or Group.

LORDS OF THE UNDERGROUND

Before their debut album (Here Come The Lords) even appeared, the Lords placed three hit singles (Psycho,
Funky Child, Chief Rocka) on the rap charts. By the end of 1993, the Lordshad received an award from BETas
best rap group of the year. Here Come the Lords (Pendulum Records '93) went Platinum.

HEATHER B.

Heather B. is an African-American hip-hop artist from jersey City, New Jersey, most
famous for her single All Glocks Downas well as her appearance as a cast member on the first season of MTV's
The Real World which took place in New York City. She is known almost excluseively by the name Heather B.

BOOGIEMONSTERS

The Boogiemonsters were formed when New Yorkers Vex and Mondo met Jamaica-born brothers Yodared and Myntric at Virginia State University.
Boogiemonsters began rapping at shows around campus and, after winning first place at Howard University's famous Hip-Hop Convention, they
recorded a demo and began shopping it around New York. Pendulum signed the four MC's and, in 1993, released
critically acclaimed Riders of the Storm (The Underwater Album).

CHRIS WALKER

He spent his childhood in Houson, playing gospel music. He moved to New York City, where he became Ornette
Coleman'sbass player for two and a half years. He then toured with Regina Belle,
where he soon became her musical director. When Regina noticed his fine voice, she gradually worked his vocals into her shows. Chris credits her for teaching him to find his voice. First Time, his solo debut released in 1991, yielded two Top Five R&B hits Giving You All My Love and Take Time (which cracked the Top 30 in pop). The album was produced by Nick Martinelli and had artistic input from Betty Wright. Sincerely Yours (1993) was the follow-up from No Place LIke Love. Both albums were released on Pendulum Records.

DIVINE

DIvine was the name of an R&B-based girl group who is best known for its 1998 Billbaord Hot 100 number-one single Lately. Group members include Kia Thornton, Nikki Bratcher and Tonia Tash. All three women were teenagers when they were recruited by Pendulum Records owner Ruben Rodrigez.
Lately was released as the group's debut single in 1998 and quickly became a hit. It debuted on the U.S. pop chart at number thirty-six and eventually hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in November of that year. The single was certified platinum for sales of over 1 million units in the U.S. Lately was the last song to top the Hot 100 before Billboard magazine changed its policty to allow airplay-only tracks to enter the chart and was the first #1 by a girl group since the Spice Girls.

REGINA BELLE

Grammy Award Winning Artist, Regina Belle, released her first Gospel album Love Forever Shines on Pendulum Records in association with Walker Davis Entertainment in May 2008. This project has collaborations from award-winning artists: Melvin Williams, Shirley Murdock, Shawn McLemore and Alvin Darlin. Regina penned many of the songs on this album herself. The album features the hit single God is Good and includes such songs as I Almost Slipped, I'll Never Leave You Alone and the foot stomping, church clapping traditional old school song, Can't Nobody!

ABOUT CEO/FOUNDER RUBEN RODRIGUEZ

Pendulum Records was founded in 1991 by CEO/Founder, Ruben Rodriguez. Previously Ruben Rodriguez worked for Columbia Records, where he helped develop the careers of artists such as George Michael, Regina Belle, Terence Trent D’Arby, New Kids On The Block. Among the artists signed to his Pendulum label were Grammy Award-Winning Digable Planets, critically acclaimed Boogiemonsters, Hip-Hop's Legendary Lords Of The Underground and multi-talented Chris Walker, who's solo debut, yielded 2 Top Five R&B hits, "Giving You All My Love" and "Take Time" (which cracked the Top 30 in POP). In 1998 Pendulum released the Platinum selling trio, Divine, who's debut single "Lately" reigned #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart. Many of the artists signed to the label achieved international success.
